NATO selects first companies for new cyber marketplace

NATO has selected more than 90 companies as the first members of its new Cybersecurity Dynamic Marketplace (CSDM), to accelerate the delivery of cyber capabilities that support the alliance’s missions.  

The CSDM will act as a pool of prequalified companies from which NATO can quickly draw expertise and capabilities, to enhance its resilience and crisis readiness, an announcement from the alliance on 7 August said. 

It follows a NATO request for proposals to be part of the CSDM which went live in October 2025. 

The CSDM is a “flexible, performance-based, and agile contracting model” NCIA Senior Contracting Officer, Burak Oguz, said. It will be used to fulfil ongoing and future NATO requirements.  

The initial 90 members form the first lot of suppliers for the CSDM, with a further three lots with due to be added in future.  

What does lot one of the CSDM include? 

Lot one spans a five-year period and will include multiple contracts CSDM member companies can apply for, with up to EUR500 million in funding available overall. 

Under lot one, eight cyber capability areas are being prioritised, namely: 

• Cloud security 
• Digital forensics and evidence 
• Endpoint protection 
• Identity, credential, and access management 
• Network and perimeter security 
• Threat detection and analytics  
• Vulnerability and exposure management 
• Professional services 

NATO says that – beyond the agility benefits of the CSDM – the initiative strengthens its partnership with industry, with future lots intended to provide “a scalable mechanism for cyber delivery across the alliance”.
