DTC on how tactical HF is the answer to uncrewed control
We spoke with DTC about how tactical HF can be a game-changer for uncrewed platforms.
We spoke to business development manager Nathan Rijckmans about how the company is taking in-service high frequency (HF) technology and repurposing it to provide discreet, un-jammable, low-cost technology for long-range uncrewed missions.
In it he talks about how:
- HF radio, designed for ground troops, can be used to control uncrewed surface vessels at long range.
- Broadcast-only HF configuration lets DTC send control signals to a vessel without it transmitting back.
- DTC's mass-produced HF radios undercut traditional combat net radio systems, making them viable for attritable, uncrewed platforms.
